Hopeless romantics will have to “watch this space” to find out if a Longridge lad met the girl of his dreams on a prime time TV show.
Personal trainer and scuba diving instructor, Will Smith, made an appearance on ITV dating game show, Take Me Out, last Saturday, where he was dubbed the Fresh Prince of Preston by host, Paddy McGuinness.
The 21-year-old who also confessed his love of Coronation Street and baked beans, during the programme, managed to wow the flirty 30 girls, including one in particular, 22-year-old Harriette Beazer from Bath, who he got to jet away to the sunshine with.
Will said: “It was a fantastic experience and I would certainly recommend it to anyone.
“It was the busiest week of my life but it was also one of the best.”
Will, who was approached by the producers of the show after they saw his Twitter profile, filmed the show over a week last November and tuned in to watch with his friends who, Will said: “found it all quite cringey.”
He said: “I went down to Maidstone in Kent on the Monday, filmed on the Tuesday, flew to the Island of Fernandos on the Wednesday, filmed Thursday and was back home on the Friday - it was mad.”
And after Harriett left her light on for Will, the pair were whisked away to see if there was a spark of romance.
“It went really well,” said Will.
“We were one of those couples that didn’t give too much away so you’ll have to wait and see.
“There is always potential though.”
After appearing on the show, Will has now signed with Boss Model Management and has been asked to do extra work for numerous TV programmes including Hollyoaks and his beloved Corrie.
He also has an audition to appear on top secret programme at the end of the month.
The outcome of Will and Harriett’s date to Fernandos will be aired this Saturday.
