The Grimsargh Players hope to repeat last year’s success

The Grimsargh Players are once again entering The 21st One Act Play Festival at Preston’s Market Street Playhouse this Saturday, June 21.

The amateur dramatic group had great success last year winning Best Overall Production with Last Tango In Little Grimsargh and Best Director for Mary Jones.

Once again Mary Jones is directing this year’s entry which is called Village Wooing by George Bernard Shaw.

Village Wooing is a clever romantic comedy written in 1933 in which an intellectual upper class travel writer meets a working class shop girl-telephone operator looking for a man to share her life.

Paul Fishwick and Bethan Crook are the actors.

The Grimsargh Players will be repeating the show in Grimsargh Village Hall on Friday, July 4.

Further information to follow nearer the time, but book the date in your diaries now is the message and invitation from the group.
