Standout performances with bat and ball were enough to secure a dozen points at Newsham on Saturday.
Having been put into bat by their visitors, Longridge began badly as they were reduced to 38-4.
Joshua McDowell (0) was the first to go, stumped by Gregg Ashcroft off the bowling of Richard Lyon.
John Simpson (2) was next out to the bowling of Frank Nickson, who also accounted for Luke Platt (8).
Inbetween those dismissals, Lyon got the better of James Whitehead (17) to leave the Longridge batters up against it.
However, that brought together Josh Mullin and Tom Haworth, whose contributions took the game away from Rufford.
Mullin struck seven boundaries in his knock of 50, while Haworth top-scored with an undefeated knock of 73 which included eight fours.
Jonathan Millward (0), Ian Simpson (7), Rob Kenny (2) and Kyle Helm (1) were late wickets as Lyon took 3-50, Nickson 2-35 and Rob Kenny 2-36 in Longridge’s 181-9.
Longridge’s bowlers only needed 30 overs to record victory in reply as Rufford were all out for 71.
Opening bowler Matt Greenall led the way by dismissing Tom Taylor, Frank Nickson, and Jack Nickson for ducks as well as Ashcroft (1) and Nathan Lloyd (9).
That saw him claim figures of 5-13 from five overs as only two of the Rufford batsmen made it into double figures.
Rob Kenny was their top scorer with 27 before Rory McDowell had him caught by Helm.
Liam Nickson made it to 10 but was then bowled by Jonathan Millward, who ended with 1-20.
McDowell took figures of 2-19, while Simpson ended with 2-13.
Sunday saw Longridge victorious in the ECB National Club Championship following victory against Westhoughton.
Platt top-scored with 80 as Longridge batted first and made 166-7 from their 45 overs.
In reply, Westhoughton were all out for 154 with Simpson taking 4-26 and McDowell 3-22.
The first XI is back in action on Saturday at Great Eccleston (1.30pm).
