Longridge Town have sent their best wishes to club chairman, Brian Parkinson who, it was confirmed, has suffered a mini-stroke.
A club statement said: “Whilst in good spirits, ‘Parky’ has been ordered to have complete rest for four weeks and will not be around the place as much as usual.”
Club secretary Dave Walker reiterated that statement and said Mr Parkinson is recovering.
He said: “Brian’s quite bright really and he doesn’t appear to be too fazed by it.
“The first couple of weeks are about rest and getting as much of it as he can.
“He can’t drive or anything like that for four weeks but everyone has sent him their best wishes.”
