They had been due to meet Vickerstown on Tuesday night as the News went to press but, not for the first time this season, a waterlogged pitch put paid to those plans.
It is hoped that game will be rearranged sooner rather than later with Town also due to host Blackpool Wren Rovers on Saturday in a match that was abandoned last month because of the wintry weather.
It all adds up to an unwanted distraction for club secretary Dave Walker, who explained: “I’m waiting on Vickerstown to get back to me because, at the moment, we’re wanting to get the game played on Thursday evening.
“Then we play Wrens on Saturday in a rearranged game after that one was abandoned and we’re now playing Turton at home next Wednesday.
“We should have been playing Garstang on the Tuesday but that game has had to be moved because of their cup involvements.
“We’re also meant to be playing again on the 21st, then we’re at home to Euxton Villa on the 24th and I think we might have another game on the 28th as well.
“Considering where we were earlier in the season with all the games we had called off, we’ve done well to catch up with only seven games left to play, especially when you look at someone like Haslingden St Mary’s who, I think, have about 13 games left to play yet.”
Also due to be playing this Saturday are Town’s reserves as they meet Garstang in the Stewart Rowe Memorial Cup semi-final at Euxton Villa rather than the original venue of Poulton.
