A Longridge church had an early Christmas present when more than £4,200 was raised for church funds.
Vicar Rev Mike Barton declared the annual Christmas Tree Fair “spectacular”.
Crowds thronged the sparkling Christmas tree-lined aisles in venue St Paul’s Church, enjoying the many attractive stalls and the busy festive cafe at event.
Youngsters queued to tell Father Christmas their wish list for Christmas and the junior choir, led by Rebekah Okpoti, opened the fair by singing carols.
A bumper raffle helped boost funds and refreshments of turkey barmcakes, sausage baps, hot mulled wine or teas with coffees and desserts proving popular.
A spokesman said: “It was a joy to see so many families enjoying the occasion.
“It was a great team effort with an excellent result, matching last year’s total and one that should give us great encouragement as we near the end of our 150th anniversary year.”
