Ribblesale pupils at online safety seminar

Four Ribblesdale High School pupils learnt how to stay safe online by attending a digital workshop at Clitheroe’s The Grand organised to promote Safer Internet Day.

Lydia Robinson, Kendall Kelly, Lauren Bradshaw and Amelia Dowson participated in the special session with the focus on protecting young people online.

Calling themselves “Ribblesdale Routers”, they engaged in several activities which allowed them to learn more about how the internet is used by young people and about the dangers they face. They went on to create a website telling young people how to stay safe.

Kay Gibson and Louise England fromThe Grand both commented on how well behaved the pupils were and said their enthusiasm was superb. They are now going to continue to complete the website and enter it into a competition in May.
