A family is searching for a Good Samaritan who helped a grandmother after she fell in the street while out shopping in Clitheroe.

The kind hearted motorist came to the aid of Mrs Gladys Snape when she fell on the zebra crossing in York Street on Saturday afternoon. The mystery helper took her to her home in Wansfell Road and later delivered a huge bunch of roses to her door.

Now Mrs Snape and her family are keen to trace the lady so they can thank her properly.

Mrs Snape’s granddaughter, Mrs Laura Nicholas, said: “We would really like to track this lady down and thank her properly for her kindness, we have been overwhelmed.’’
