Clitheroe's Food Festival returns once again this summer offering a range of exciting offers for food enthusiasts.

This year’s festival will feature a range of quality food and drink from inspirational chefs, family-friendly culinary activities and live music.

A huge array of foods, from organic meat and dairy goods made from traditional Lancashire breeds, to handmade pies and pastries, wonderful ice cream, delicious cakes and a feast of fruit and vegetables packed with authentic flavours, will be found at the festival, which is considered one of the best in the UK.

Stuart Carefoot, chairman of Ribble Valley Borough Council’s community services committee, said: “The Clitheroe Food Festival is a great opportunity for food enthusiasts from across Lancashire to see what amazing local produce we have.

“The council has created a strong narrative around food over the years and we are delighted to be taking the lead on this year’s festival, which will provide vital support to food businesses across the borough.

“Festival-goers can expect top-quality artisan produce, as well as cuisine from further afield, while historic Clitheroe Castle will host family-friendly displays and stalls explaining how the purchase of local food and drink benefits the countryside and rural economy.”
