A high school’s summer camp has been hailed a great success by pupils, staff and parents alike.
The two-week long camp at St Cecilia’s High School in Longridge attracted up to 40 pupils each day - from years four, five and six (primary school) and years seven, eight and nine (high school).
Sports on offer included football, basketball, hockey, golf, cricket, netball, handball, badminton, tennis and table tennis. There was also ultimate frisbie, team building, team games and water games - fights.
St Cecilia’s PE teacher and head of year seven and eight, Nigel Taylor, who organised the camp with St Cecilia’s head of PE Sarah Bethwaite described the school’s third annual summer camp as “fantastic”.
He said: “Reports back from the parents have nothing but praise and the pupils thought it was great. Some pupils booked on for one day and then booked on for the rest of the week.”
