Preparations for Gisburn “Royal” Scarecrow Festival are gathering pace with the family friendly event set to take place next month.
Being held in the village on Saturday, June 11th, and Sunday, June 12t,h from 10 am to 4 pm, the theme of this year’s festival is in keeping with Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th birthday.
Scarecrow trail maps will be available from Gisburn Festival Hall from which bacon sandwiches and cakes will also be served.
Raffle prizes, many donated by businesses based in the village, include a night at Park House B and B, a voucher for La Locanda restaurant, a voucher for Gisburn Garage, an evening meal and a bottle of wine at The White Bull, wine from The Deli, prizes from PanAsh UK Ltd and Stirk House hotel, and many more.
Other attractions include a “guess the number of scarecrows in the jar” competition and opportunities for scarecrow selfies to name just a couple at this great family weekend event.
There will also be eye-catching scarecrow jewellery on sale.
The event is being sponsored by James Frankland Milk Delivery and The Deli at Gisburn.
