Ribble Valley resident Graham Hill drove away with a new mini after winning the Pendleside Hospice car raffle.
Graham (58), of Barrow, is a long-term supporter of Pendleside after it looked after his former father-in-law back in 2008.
Commenting on his win, the self employed financial services consultant, said: “It came as a bit of a shock. I thought I may have won £100 or a hamper, but not the car!”
This year’s car raffle raised £26,597 for the hospice and the winning ticket was drawn by Burnley entrepreneur David Fishwick in Charter Walk in Burnley.
Pendleside fundraiser Vikki Bassek said: “2016 has been a successful year for the car raffle with around 800 tickets more sold than last year. Graham is a supporter of Pendleside and has been a member of our lottery for many years as well as buying £10 worth of car raffle tickets for the past five years.”
Sponsors of the car raffle were Alderson and Horan, Burnley and Pendle Freemasons, Charter Walk, John Macadams, Fuel Card Services and Lloyds who supply the mini.
“We’d like to thank every person who bought a ticket and our volunteers who sold tickets,” added Vikki.
