Members of Clitheroe and Bowland District Girlguiding were blessed with fantastic weather for their “Great Guiding Games” event held at West Bradford Village Hall.

More than 40 girls and their leaders from Rainbows (age five to seven), Brownies (age seven to 10), Guides (age 10 to 14) and Young Leaders (14-plus) took part in a jam packed day full of activities such as cheerleading, rounders, obstacle course, parachute games and fun races.

Isabel (13) from 1st West Bradford Guides said, “I had a fantastic day. My favourite part was playing rounders with all the other Units.”

The Green team were announced overall winners at the end of the day, which finished with songs and a flag raising ceremony.

All participants went home with a badge and certificate. The day was so much fun it is hoped it will become an annual event.
