A remarkable line of centenarians with 513 years between them were celebrated at Goosnargh’ Bushell House Residential Home when the youngest, Bertha Titley, marked her 100th birthday with parties at the home and with her family. A former Land Girl and primary school cook in her native Lincolnshire, Bertha moved to Goosnargh in September to be near son Edward and family after husband Jack died not long before their 72nd wedding anniversary. The five are completed by Elizabeth David (107) and Alice Brown (102) who were unable to attend.PIC BY ROB LOCK
