Organisers of a three-day music festival being held in Clitheroe Castle grounds in July have made available 400 free tickets for five to 10 year olds.
Following the success of the Summer Days Festival and Ribble Valley schools festival t-shirt and flag design competition, the organisers have also made available 400 tickets costing £20 per day for ages 11 to 16. All must be accompanied by an adult over 21.
The festival t-shirt and flag design competition ran for three weeks in April and May and was open to all local high school and primary school pupils from ages five to 16 .
The primary school pupils (infant and junior categories) were invited to design a flag which will be manufactured and displayed on the festival site.
Meanwhile, the high school pupils were invited to create a design for a limited edition t-shirt which will be available alongside the official merchandise.
The competition was organised in collaboration with The Grand in Clitheroe with 34 primary school and eight high schools invited to take part. For the full list of winners and commended entries see next week’s Clitheroe Advertiser.
Tickets will be available on a first come first served basis from The Grand, Clitheroe, on 01200 421599.
