A sex offender who has been on the run in Lancashire has been caught by the police.
Jack Tyhurst, 19, from Lostock Hall was sentenced to 13 months in jail in 2011 for a sexual assault and the attempted rape of two women.
Lancashire police launched a hunt to find the teen on Tuesday after he failed to attend probation appointments and did not keep in contact with them as per his licence conditions.
The police confirmed that Tyhurst was located and arrested in Preston this morning and will be returned to prison.
A police spokesman said: “Thank you for your help with the appeal.”
