LEYLAND: A man who stole four jars of coffee has been handed a community order.
Greg Frances Dunne, 29, of Mosley Street, Leyland, pleaded guilty to theft from the One Stop Shop when he appeared at Preston Magistrates Court.
He must pay £26.20 compensation and undertake 20 hours on a specified activity plan with the Probation Service.
CHORLEY: A man who failed to comply with his community order has been handed a six week suspended prison sentence.
Michael Leeming, 32, of Steeley Lane, admitting failing to co-operate with the installation of electronic monitoring equipment when he appeared before magistrates.
CHORLEY: A man was fined £110 after admitting possession of heroin.
Chorley magistrates ruled William Joseph Hutchinson, 31, of Hollinshead Street, must also pay £85 legal costs and a £20 victims surcharge.
COPPULL: A man who failed to stop after damaging two cars has been ordered to pay £145.
Michael Anthony Storton, 20, of John Street, had 10 penalty points added to his licence after admitting leaving the scene without leaving his details when he caused the damage.
Preston Magistrates ordered him to carry out 200 hours of unpaid community work.
CHORLEY: A woman who stole a pair of Beats Audio headphones from Asda has been ordered to have treatment for her drug addiction.
Louise Hilton, 40, of Eaves Lane, pleaded guilty to theft and was ordered to pay £85 legal costs and a £60 victim surcharge when she appeared at Chorley Magistrates’ Court.
LEYLAND: A woman who admitted stealing £2,869 from a business has been handed a six month suspended sentence.
Charlotte Filaitis, 19, of Broadfield Drive, admitted theft and was ordered by the court to pay £3,034.
DRIVER Raja Iqbal has been fined after admitting breaking the 30mph speed limit on the A678 Blackburn Road at Rishton. Iqbal, 38, of Swiss Street, Accrington, was fined £60 and ordered to pay court costs of £20 and a £20 victim surcharge at Chorley Magistrates Court.
NAJMA Khan, 49, admitted breaking the 30mph speed limit at Preston Road, Grimsargh. Khan, of West Park Road, Blackburn was fined £80 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge by Chorley magistartes.
DRIVER Jonathan Stokes was ordered to pay a total of £140 after he admitted breaking the temporary 50mph speed limit on the M6 at Junction 32, Broughton. Stokes, 44, of Coronation Road, Thornton Cleveleys, was fined £35 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and court costs of £85 at Chorley Magistrates Court.
Richard Wright, 31, of Carr Lane, Wigan, faces a bill of £745 after a charge of failing to provide information to the police about the driver of a vehicle was proved in his absence. Chorley magistrates imposed a £600 fine and also ordered Wright to pay a £60 victim surcharge, and £85 of court costs.
Peter Donat appeared at Preston Magistrates Court and admitted one charge of assaulting a woman by beating her. Donat, 35, of Blackpool Road, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, had his case adjourned until June 12 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
Hannah Livesey, 25, has been bound over to keep the peace after she admitted a breach of the peace in Preston. Livesey, of Oakenhurst Road, Blackburn was bound over to the sum of £50 when she appeared before Preston magistrates.
Yvonne Conway, 44, must pay £410 after she admitted assaulting two women. Conway, of New Rough Hey, Ingol, Preston, was made the subject of a community order with a four-month curfew and was also ordered to pay £100 compensation to each of her victims. She must also pay court costs of £150 and a £60 surcharge.
