Calderstones Hospital resident in court after assaulting support workers

A resident at Calderstones Hospital assaulted members of staff on two seperate occasions.

Blackburn magistrates heard one was grabbed round the throat and the other had a cup thrown in her face before she was also choked.

Kara Lily Hankinson (24), pleaded guilty to two charges of assault. She was ordered to pay £150 compensation to each victim, £85 costs and £150 criminal court charge.

Parveen Akhtar, prosecuting, said both victims were support workers at the hospital and had been attacked without warning.
