Detailed plans have been lodged for the first phase of a controversial development on the Longridge boundary by David Wilson Homes (Barratt).
The first phase of housing on the land east of Chipping Lane is for 118 new homes and includes appearance, landscaping, layout and scale.
This forms part of the 363-strong home development which includes affordable housing, housing for the elderly, the relocation of Longridge Cricket Club to provide a new cricket ground, pavilion, car park and associated facilities, primary school, vehicular and pedestrian access, landscaping and public open space.
The phase will include a mix of two bed mews houses, three bed townhouses and three and four bed semi-detached and detached houses, most being two storeys high, although a small number of 2.5 storey buildings are proposed. The first phase also includes new access onto Chipping Lane, areas of open space, car parking and associated landscaping.
‘The Boulevard’ will form the main transport route through the site, incorporaƟting vehicle, pedestrian and cycle traffic.
Parking will be a mix of drives to the side of properties, integral garages with drives and frontage parking.
The reserved matters application was received by Ribble Valley Council the week ending March 11 and any comments must be made to the council by April 1.
