A friendship and dating agency for people in the Ribble Valley with a learning disability is hosting a drop-in session.
The U-Night Group, the community interest company behind Meet ‘N’ Match, has organised the event so that people can meet the people who run the club and also find out more about the services on offer.
Meet ‘N’ Match also aims to support and encourage people to form close friendships and relationships, through social events and its exclusive members only matching service.
Events and project co-ordinator Lucy Hamlin said: “The response in East Lancashire has been amazing so far so why not come along to find out more information about what we offer, buy event tickets, and even sign up to the agency.”
“Generally, people with a learning disability have limited opportunities to meet their peers and to form lasting connections, and we hope that by providing this opportunity to come and meet us, opportunities will be opened up.”
* The drop-in session will be held next Wednesday (August 24th) 10am to 1pm at The Zone Clitheroe, Parson Lane, Clitheroe.
