Villagers in Chipping have got their second Community Public Access Defibrillator.

A CPAD box has been installed on the wall of Brabin’s Endowed Primary School.

This is the second CPAD in Chipping and will cover the Longridge Road side of the village.

The box was provided by the Community First Responder (CFR) group following donations from William and Mary Fisher, in lieu of gifts for their ruby wedding celebration and the Sun Inn Slimmers, with half the money raised from a sponsored slim.

The box is now fully operational. When someone calls 999 and the call handler thinks the incident requires the defibrillator to be released, they will tell the caller the location of the cabinet if it is close enough for you to reach safely within a short period. They will also tell the caller the four digit code to open the door.
