A care home in Clitheroe will stage a “right Royal open day” this Saturday to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th birthday.

In conjunction with Castleford care home’s open day members of the public are invited from 11 am onwards to the Queen’s Road facility to enjoy a variety of attractions.

These include the Salvation Army singing from 11 am, a 1930s themed buffet lunch, Brownies serving afternoon cream teas, a cake stall and cake decorating competition, face painting and dressing up, a tombola, raffle and Royal quizzes. A singing duo will also perform at 2 pm.

Any donations for the raffle, tombola and cake stall would be appreciated.
