The festive season was once again on song for pubs and parties in one local area as Goosnargh Carollers raised their voices for charity.

The excellent result was £1,235, a cheque for which organiser James Hide is pictured presenting to Jeanette Smalley, general manager of Vine House, watched by some of the group’s 24 members.

Jeanette explained the great work done for families affected by cancer issues, with 6,000 to 7,000 patient contacts a year, requiring a budget of well over £350,000, most of which is funded through charitable giving.

The Carollers, who always sing before Christmas and by invitation, thank all who helped to make the collections possible.
