Shoppers will be welcomed into Aldi’s new store in Clitheroe on Thursday with a special golden ticket event.
Located in Whalley Road, the new store will be officially opened by store manager Gareth Hulse, in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 am.
To celebrate the opening, Aldi will be handing out golden envelopes to the first 100 people in the queue, each containing a prize. Lucky customers will be in with the chance of winning a 32in Full HD LED TV, £100 hampers, £50 hampers and bags of Aldi shopping.
Hot food catering including bacon and sausage sandwiches will be available at the opening along with a face painter and balloon modeller for children attending on their October half-term break.
Aldi is proud to engage with the local community and will be sponsoring a Clitheroe Wolves FC youth team, by providing kits and equipment for the season ahead. The Rotary Club of Clitheroe will also be holding a charity collection throughout the opening day.
The store, which stands at 5,635 sq ft is supported by 94 car parking spaces and has created 30 new jobs.
