A rural-based IT business is celebrating a key milestone – its 10th birthday.
DNA IT Solutions Directors Andrew Lopiccolo and Andy Street deliver IT solutions to both local and national businesses.
Ten years ago, after being employed by a local firm, Andrew decided to launch his own company providing bespoke software to businesses, quickly building up a loyal customer base.
Andrew said: “As time has gone on, it’s great to have more local firms using our services, allowing us to give something back to the region.”
In 2009, DNA relocated to its current premises in Downham, enjoying the views of Pendle Hill from the office window.
As the business continued to grow, it was clear that it needed to expand to meet the growing demands of existing and new clients, so the company brought on board Andy Street, who was running his own IT consultancy, bringing with him his own specialised knowledge in hardware and network engineering.
David Sutton, a Senior Software Developer, joined the company, and DNA recruited more staff at the start of this year.
Now that the company is well established, Andrew and Andy are keen to develop their links with the community.
They have always provided support for local charities and are building on this by providing funding for some much needed sports kit for a primary school and say that giving something back to the community will remain a priority moving forward.
They are now looking ahead to the next 10 years in business.
Andy said: “We are keen to continue working in the area with new and existing customers and in particular, we are moving towards providing IT support to schools, allowing them to benefit from our solution-focused and economical approach”.
