This weekend sees the launch of a series of clean ups in Whalley and Billington to help get the villages ship shape again after the floods three months ago.
Whalley and Distict Lions have organised the clean ups, which start on Saturday from 10am to 1pm.
The sessions will be held every Saturday throughout the summer and residents and volunteers who would like to help are asked to meet on the Spar car park. Residents are also being asked to point out any areas that need attention.
The Lions are also hoping that young people will get involved in the project as they are launcing a Leos Club. They are being invited to go down to the clean up with their parents.
