Clitheroe Town Council’s annual crib dedication service took place at the Castle Gates this week.
The service was conducted by the Rev. Andrew Froud and the carol singing was led by children from St Michael and St John’s RC Primary School.
The service was also attended by Town Mayor Coun. Mark French who gave one of the readings.
Crowds gathered to attend the ceremony which marks the start of the festivities in the town.
The festivities gather pace over the weekend with the Chamber of Trade Christmas Festival from 10-15am on Saturday and the much-loved Walking Nativity departing from the Swan Courtyard at 4-30pm the same day.
