CALLING all juniors who would like to play competitive tennis in Goosnargh!
They are welcome to attend team trials at Goosnargh Tennis Club. Although these started yesterday (Tuesday April 22) for selection to the club's u14 and U16 teams for the 2008 season, there are more trial opportunities tomorrow (Thursday) at the club
, but please phone secretary Angela McNeela on 07966315241 beforehand.
Following selection, squad training sessions will be offered for all players on Thursday afternoons.
This year the leagues have introduced a new junior format to encourage competitive singles and these matches will count towards an individual players LTA rating.
If interested but unable to attend or for further information, candidates can also contact Tom Luke on 07999626430 tomluketennis@hotmail.com and Angela's e-mail is mcneela@btconnect.com.
Junior Club sessions are also available for all juniors on Monday afternoons from 4pm, an opportunity for junior members to interact and play games or just practice in a structured environment. More able juniors will be invited to stay and join in the senior club nights starting at 6pm.
Junior group training sessions are also available for all juniors whatever the standard of play on Saturday afternoons with Tom Luke. Individual lessons can also be arranged for both juniors and adults at the club with coaches Tom or Michael Luke
