Chipping Juniors have a lot to celebrate

CHIPPING Junior Football Club is celebrating a series of successes.
The Panthers have had a very good season playing in the U11s Central Lancs stage III league.
The team took points from 15 out of 16 matches and averaged 6 goals a game.
Chipping Cavaliers have had a very successful season by winning the Mid Lancs. Colts La Liga League, never losing a home match, and in all the 20 games played they scored 56 goals and only conceded 19.
Chipping Tigers under 9's won the Mid Lancs Colt League Cup. After a difficult start to the season the Tigers fought back and their determination was rewarded when they collected the league cup.
One of the club's most popular personalities, secretary Mrs Shirley Fletcher won the secretary of the year award for her hard work and commitment shown to the Mid Lancs Colt League.
The three teams Chipping Chicks U12's girls, Chipping Cavaliers U10's and Chipping Tigers U9's travelled to Manchester recently to play in Salford Mini Soccer Festival. Over 240 played in an excellent run tournament over the weekend it wasn't just about football – bouncy castles, helter skelter and fun house all made up the day. The whole weekend was about fun – fun for all the family.
A club spokesman said: "The tournament was all about fair play no scores where recorded."
U9s Chipping Tigers and U12's Chipping Chicks both won a fair play trophy which is a credit to Chipping Junior Football Club .
The manager of the Chipping Chicks,Mr Paul Elland, said he was proud of the girls who played excellent football in fantastic spirits.
The Tigers won two of the three matches played and drew the third. In a statement, the management team said: "The boys played some fantastic football and as ever were on their best behaviour."
