Disappointment for North End I WAS at the Preston v Blackpool game on Saturday which proved to be a major disappointment for all North End fans.

Title chase back to life THE major story of the weekend was Manchester United's second defeat in a row and Liverpool's 5-0 thumping of Aston Villa to narrow the gap at the top of the Premiership.

Important win for North End I WENT to Deepdale on Saturday to watch Preston play Coventry in what was a really important game for North End.

United's Carling Cup win MANCHESTER United's victory in the Carling Cup on Sunday highlighted the fact that they are probably the only team in the Premiership who can get away with rotating their squad while still competing for honours.
