The children of Grimsargh Pre-school enjoyed a visit
from Longridge vet Paul
Thomas.

He examined some of their pets, showing the children how to do so, and gave tips on how to take care of them at home.

Chloe the spaniel was examined by four-year-old Louisa Worden, watched by owners Matt and Lexi Hartley and vet Paul. Dexter Metcalf (3) examined Munch the rabbit and learned a new word – stethoscope!

The children had made a poster advertising National Pet Month and were proud to show it to Paul.

Grimsargh Pre-school has recently gained the Lancashire Step into Quality Award. Improvements were made in every area of the settings provision from September 2013 until March this year and all children are said to be playfully learning, enjoying and achieving more because of it.
