An annual charity muck haul organised by Clitheroe Young Farmers raised £1,285 for the Rosemere Cancer Chemotherapy Unit at Burnley Hospital.

The young farmers had hoped to raise £1,000 for the unit so were overjoyed when the muck haul, during which they sell muck locally in trailers, bags and barrows, surpassed their initial fundraising goal.

Club chairman James Smith said: “Our Muck Haul is a great way for Clitheroe Young Farmers to support our local community, along with raising funds for such great causes.”
