A man has been arrested in Preston after a 26-year-old was threatened with a firearm.
Dozens of officers, including armed police and the dog unit, converged on an address in Skeffington Road on Tuesday morning, where a 30-year-old man from Preston was arrested.
Police said the arrest related to a threat that was made against a 26-year-old man on Monday.
Ch Insp Mike Adamson said: “I would like to reassure the public that incidents of this nature are rare and we have moved quickly to take action.
“We have arrested one man and are still at the address conducting searches. Reassurance patrols will continue once we have withdrawn from the area.”
