A vase used for special stage effect to smash over the victim’s head without any real pain will feature in a play being performed at Bolton-by-Bowland Village Hall this weekend.
“Anybody for Murder?” is a comedy-thriller play, set on a remote Greek Island and was written by one of the writers of the television series, “The Avengers”.
Max is planning to murder his wife Janet, collect her life insurance and enjoy life with his girlfriend Suzy. However, Mary and George arrive with news. Mary and Janet are beneficiaries of a huge fortune. Plans and plots hatch and soon everyone is bent on murder.
People are invited to see how the plot unfolds and make a night of it at the village hall. There is relaxed cabaret-style seating and people are free to bring their own drinks although tea, biscuits and nibbles are included. Wine glasses will also be available.
Performances start at 7-30 pm tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday May 21st. Tickets costing £7 for adults and £3-50 for children are available from Bolton by Bowland Tea Rooms, Catherine Curry on 01200 447048 or Clitheroe Tourist Information Centre.
