The countdown has begun to one of the Ribble Valley’s biggest fund raising events.

The East Lancashire Hospice pub walk takes place on Saturday, June 25th when hundreds of charity walkers will descend on the Ribble Valley for the event.

Walking boots and beer are on the cards as the route for the 10 mile walk, organised in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Ribblesdale, begins at Whalley village hall and takes entrants through Mitton and across the Ribble Valley countryside before emerging in Billington and back into Whalley.

Individuals, families and several work teams have already signed up for the walk which is the second one. Rotarians will act as marshalls along the route and transport back to Whalley for those wanting to complete a shorter walk is available. To register go to eastlancshospice.org.uk or ring 01254 287011.
