Chatburn playing fields will again play host to the ever-popular “Big Gig” live music event.

From 12 pm on Saturday, July 3rd, the stage will be set for what organisers describe as “Great food, a few drinks and bags of community spirit”.

Bands and artists will include Rothwell, DRIVE, David John Jaggs, Mark Duckworth, Paul Tierney and Xanthe & Zimmer, with more to be confirmed. There will also be a licensed bar and a barbecue with sausages and burgers from village butcher Roy Porter.

All money raised will go towards improving village facilities, including the children’s playground area and to the North West Air Ambulance. The gig provides a chance for the community to get together once again to celebrate a great place to live and listen to and give support to some of the best local music talent.
