Parish worshipped in Queen’s church

Forty-six people from Broughton, Fulwood and Garstang took part in a jubilee service at the Queen’s parish church at Sandringham.
The Vicar of Broughton, Rev Sidney Fox, led the service using a specially printed commemorative service sheet which contained a special message from the Bishop of Blackburn.
Many other visitors at the church joined in the service.
The service formed part of Broughton Parish Church’s annual holiday which this year was to Great Yarmouth, and after the service the group visited Sandringham House. Rev Fox said: “The general feeling was that the service made this year’s jubilee extra special. We had a special service at Broughton on Sunday followed by a party in the parish hall.”
