To market, to market ... to buy some Easter goodies and country crafts.
Garstang’s Country Market had seasonal treats and Easter themed craft good on sale at its weekly gathering last week.
From Easter mats and egg holders to Easter bags and bunting there was plenty to choose from.
The market sells home-made cakes, biscuits, jams, toys, handicrafts and also an abundance of plants and is celebrating its 44th year (it was previouly called the Garstang WI market).
It opens every Thursday morning at the Garstang Sports and Social Club from 10am to 12 noon and refreshments are served. Chairman Eileen Marshall said of the pre-Easter event: “There was a real buzz - every table was full... We promote Garstang... and there’s always somebody to talk to.”
She continued: “We’re part of the fabric of Garstang. We are a registered cooperative social enterprise. It’s old fashioned traditional values.”
