Longridge police are appealing to residents for help after a spate of break-ins.
During the night of June 22-23, there were four break-ins in the Thornley and Chipping area, which are believed to have been connected.
A number of Dewalt, Bosch and Makita tools worth £3,500 were stolen from the Derby Arms on Chipping Road at Thornley, where renovation work is underway and a storage container on Garstang Road, Chipping was broken into and a £350 Stihl petrol strimmer stolen.
Also an unnocupied boarded up house for sale on Moss Side Lane, Thornley was broken into via the garage although nothing is known to have been stolen and a white VW transporter was broken into on Garstang Road, Chipping while parked at the rear of a house and again nothing is believed to have been stolen.
Some of the tools and cabling were found deposited in a field nearby the next day.
In Longridge, between June 26-27 a house on Southern Close was broken into and a £150 HP laptop stolen and between June 27 and 28 a vehicle parked on the driveway of a property on Lindale Road was opened with no signs of damage and a sat nav stolen. This was found under a neighbour’s hedge.
Shortly before 4pm on June 27 two bottles of vodka were stolen from Booths in Longridge and between June 27-28 a silver BMW parked on Derwent Drive was broken into and aftershave and a wallet were stolen.
At 4pm on June 29 a white transit van, in which the keys had been left, was stolen from the rear yard of a property on Berry Lane.
Between June 29-30 a small quantity of diesel was stolen from a van parked on College Close, Longridge.
