A Longridge company which began with just two staff seven years ago has now increased its workforce to eight.
Country and Commercial Insurance Brokers Ltd, of Derby Road, Longridge, which won the North West Broker of the Year Award in 2012, has just appointed Kevin Coulthard to the role of senior broker.
With more than 30 years’ experience in this field, Kevin,has been appointed to help the company achieve its future expansion plans.
Managing director Debbie Airey started the agricultural and commercial insurance specialist business with fellow director Anne Pickover in 2007 and they boast 20 years’ experience in the industry between them.
Debbie said: “We are delighted Kevin is joining us, as his knowledge and experience of the insurance market and the agricultural sector in particular will be a great asset for our business.”
Anne added: “We have known Kevin for many years and his appointment will strengthen our team and enable us to continue to give our clients the best service and access to insurers that is available.”
Kevin, who has worked with clients all over the north and in Scotland, says CCIB is a traditional brokerage offering a wide choice to customers.
He said: “The company is growing year on year and I am very happy to be joining at what is a very exciting time for the business. CCIB has not lost sight of the need to provide the highest level of customer service and this will always be the company’s main objective.”
CCIB prides itself on handpicking staff for their individual skills and the majority of its clients live within or near to the Ribble Valley. The company, which will have a stand at Chipping Show on Saturday, sponsors various agricultural events across the region throughout the year and intends to widen this even further.
