A new club hub containing information on sports clubs has been launched by Ribble Valley Borough Council.

And clubs signing up to the new scheme by the end of May will be entered into a free draw for £50 worth of sports vouchers.

The hub, which will be included on the Ribble Valley Borough Council website, will feature comprehensive information on sports clubs throughout the borough, including contact details, the club’s coaches, where and when the club meets and website and social media links.

Ribble Valley Borough Council sports development officer Peter Fletcher said: “Sports clubs play a vital and valuable role in encouraging people to take up sport.

“The aim of the Ribble Valley Club Hub is to have a dedicated area on the council’s website offering the public and potential new members as much information as possible to help them find and choose a sports club.

“The hub will be an invaluable resource for parents, teachers and sports participants, and we are inviting sports clubs to sign up.”

Plans are also afoot to set up a Ribble Valley Community Sports Forum, which will meet quarterly to offer sports clubs the opportunity to network and share ideas.

Further details are available from Peter Fletcher on 01200 414435.
