Longridge Community Gym is continuing its charity fund raising by donating £100 raised at the gym to members when they take part in a charitable event.

The latest donation was given to Steven Salmon who cycled from Lands End to John-o-Groats last week in just eight days and has more than £7000 so far for Christies Hospital.

The next £100 will be for gym leader Angie Harrison’s own charity, Macmillan Nurses, who is to take part in the grueling Thames Path Challenge in September.

This is a 100km walk in 24 hours and for iot Angie is launching the “pledge a pound” to raise as much money as possible.

She says “Macmillan were fantastic at supporting our family when my Dad lost the battle to cancer at the age of 58.

To help please go to Just Giving – Angela Harrison, Thames Path Challenge or drop into the Community Gym to leave a pound In the charity box.
