Garstang’s first ukulele festival GarFest takes place at the Tithe Barn on Saturday, August 26

Garstang Ukulele Group will host GarFest, the town’s first ukulele festival, at the Tithe Barn on Saturday. August 26 from noon to midnight.

The whole event is free, including all the workshops and there will be music all day long, starting with a free beginners’ workshop at noon.

The timetale includes: 1.30pm - Fylde Ukulele Network, 2.15pm - Children’s Stage, 3.15 - Banjos, Ukuleles and Guitars, 4.30pm - Halton Ukes, 4.45pm - 3 Grumpy Old Men, 5pm - Workshops and Open Mic, 7pm - Strumalong, 7.30pm - Boot & Shoe, 7.45pm - Biscuit Club, 8pm - Hana Gilmour, 8.15pm - Elvis, 8.30pm - Peter Thompson, 8.45pm - Terry Kinney, 9pm - The Sandstones, 9.30pm - Ukuladies + Man, 10pm - Ukulele Jukebox, 10.45pm - Untethered.

There will also be a barbecue and Musical Bring and Buy with pre-loved ukuleles, other instruments and musical jumble.
