Caring colleagues at a Clitheroe DIY store cycled their way to France to raise money for two charities.

Staff from Homebase and the inhouse Argos pedalled 900km, which is around 560 miles, the distance to Lourdes.

And their great efforts over three days raised £650 which will be split between a charity called the Pilgrimage Trust, which provides holidays for disasdvantaged and disabled children to Lourdes, and Macmillan Cancer Support, the store’s chosen charity.

The most successful fund-raising event yet, the ride was held in store on static bikes loaned by Roefield Gym.
