LONGRIDGE'S eagerly anticipated skateboarding competition will (hopefully) go-ahead this weekend after it was rained off on Field Day.
The competition fell victim to the wet weather earlier this month but organisers are hoping for clearer skies on Saturday (July 19) for the re-arranged event at the skatepark.
All ages can take part, but under 18s will need parental consent.
Registration starts from 10am and competition gets under way at 10.30am with the 13 and under category, followed by 14-17 years from 12.15pm and over 18s from 1.30pm.
Entertainment will be provided by DJs Elect-Rick (Signed Electro Trance DJ), Sam Dickinson (Dub Step DJ - one of the original skatepark campaigners) and Harry Roberts (Old school and Reggae DJ).
Judges will be Scott Hobro, Pete Steeln and Chris Black.
