AN article of 31 December that appeared in the iMap section of this website - which contains content from the Longridge News' sister newspaper websites - made reference to a YouTube video posting made by David Snape.
Mr Snape has asked us to make clear that the intention of the video was to highlight Chorley Council's handling of £2 million of council funds which had been frozen in the Icelandic banking crisis. He also wishes to state that, in his opinion, there was no sexist intent in the video. Mr Snape also disagrees with the description of the video as an 'online rant' and feels references he made were largely in the public domain through Ms Hall's internal council blog.
Mr Snape declined to talk to the Chorley Guardian at the time of the original articles. He has also apologised to Ms Hall in writing. We are happy to clarify the matter now.
