Death crash accused appears in court

A MAN accused of causing the death of his friend by dangerous driving has made his first appearance at court.
Care worker Paul Coupe, 49, of St Lawrence Avenue in Barton, Preston, is charged with causing the death by dangerous driving of passenger Christopher Stuart.
The offence is alleged to have taken place when Coupe's BMW collided with a tree on Garstang New Road, Singleton on February 1 this year.
Coupe was granted unconditional bail to appear at Preston Crown Court on November 6.
