CROWDS of enthusiasts gathered on Sunday for the annual Chipping Tractor Run through the Ribble Valley.
Held every year in support of the North West Air Ambulance, this time the event attracted 40 vehicles which spanned the 50 years from mid-20th Century to the present.
Entrants travelled from as far as Wigan for the fun day out, which takes tractors on a 35-mile run along local roads and through several villages.
The tractors gathered at the Chipping Steam Fair showground and then set off on the route via Inglewhite, Oakenclough, Scorton and Bayhorse, arriving for a 'hot pot and pud' lunch at The Fleece in Dolphinholme. The tractors parked round the hotel and on the roadside.
After lunch, the tractors continued to Abbeystead, through the Trough of Bowland to Dunsop Bridge, Newton, and Crimpton's before taking the route back home to Chipping.
Organiser Stuart Marginson said "The day went very well despite a few hiccups. The jump leads were out, and as everyone knows with old tractors, everybody carries a spanner or two.
"I was very pleased with the turn out and would like to thank everyone for their support. The amount of money raised for the Air Ambulance is not known as yet – we are still counting."
