Lee’s raised £600 in aid of Derian House

Success on the charity front comes through this week from Grimsargh due to the running endeavours of a member of the village’s physiotherapy clinic.
Physiotherapist Lee Barker, of the Alderbank Physiotherapy Clinic, has been busy raising money for Derian House Children’s Hospice, in Preston, and has collected £600 “for this very worthwhile charity.”
To do this he completed the Preston Guild Series of road races, which consisted of 5k (completed in 21 min 22 secs), 10k (finished in 44 min 56 secs), 10 miles (completed in one hour 12 min 2 secs) and the 26-mile marathon (finished in 3 hours 52 min).
He says: “The pain and hard work was all worth it in the end and a very big thank you to all my friends, family and clients who have sponsored me so generously”.
