Come along to our rural day of action
Residents from the Goosnargh, Whittingham, Whitechapel and Inglewhite area are being invited to a day of action to help combat crime.
This is at Goosnargh Village Hall on Saturday, February 23, from 10am to 2pm and is being organised by the rural north policing team.
They will be handing out free crime prevention items, such as window and bicycle locks, outdoor wall safes for keys, reflective arm bands and other things for children and special marking equipment.
They will also be post coding bikes and marking mobile phones.
“It is a day of action for crime prevention, but all free items will only be available as long as stocks last,” said PC Chris Banks.
He has also invited Preston Council’s dog warden along to deal with dog fouling issues and there will be a council representative on hand to deal with other matters.
Further information will be available on Help Direct and Care and Repair.
The day follows similar events in Broughton and Grimsargh.
